Each event corresponds to one proton lost at IP1 by beam 1 on the TCTH. The decay products of the inelastic proton-collision with the TCTH were projected along the beam-line to the scoring-plane using the FLUKA simulation. Only particles which reach the scoring plane at 23 m from the centre of IP1 are included in the output file. The output of the FLUKA simulation contains rows of:
Position at scoring plane | |||||||||
Event ID | Particle ID | Particle Generation Number | KE | X | Y | Z | Dc_X | Dc_Y | Dc_Z |
---|
where Particle ID is the Fluka particle id, KE is the relativistic Kinetic Energy in natural units (GeV), { X, Y, Z } are the particle positions at the scoring plane (cm), and { Dc_X, Dc_Y, Dc_Z } are the direction cosines.
The input file tcth.4l1.b1_lowb.coll_hor_b1.gz should be downloaded and unzipped before running the generator. The missing event numbers correspond to events where the decay products did not reach the scoring plane. The file was made from around 1230120 inelastic TCTH collisions and contains 402719 events where the showers from the proton TCTH collision reached the scoring plane. The nominal loss maps for design luminosity of the LHC were used.
